TVS Entorq 150 First Ride Additional performance with a familiar vibe Review in 2025

Introduction

You join us Yesturday at TVS’s test track at their manufacturing facility in Hosur. And we’re here to ride a very exciting product both for the company and for us enthusiasts. It’s a new Entorq and it’s not just an updated Entorq 125. It’s a new Entorq 150. Now, there is a lot going on here and it’s both new as well as familiar.

Design and Styling

So, let’s start off with the design aspect because that’s where you’re going to see the big amount of change. The face is completely different. It’s got this new four pod. These are LED projector headlamps. There are two of them for high beam, two of them for low beam. It’s all one unit that’s behind the scowl and it really gives the bike its visual identity.

Something else that’s really interesting is this large side panel design. These two panels come together to give the Entorq 150 more of a sense of presence, especially when viewed from the front.

And of course, when we’re talking about the front, how can we not talk about the wings? TVS actually tells us these have gone through CFD analysis. The design helps split the wind and the wing does have an aerofoil shape. Whether it makes a big difference on a scooter that tops out at 100 km/h is questionable, but visually it blends into the design quite well.

From the side, the scooter carries familiar Entorq 125 design cues. TVS purposely retained this brand identity. At the rear, there are new LED DRLs which look fresh, addressing the fact that the original design hadn’t changed in about seven years.

Ergonomics

The big change here is that it’s got a wider handlebar with a naked motorcycle-style design. This makes it slightly higher and more comfortable, especially for tall riders. The seating remains familiar, with no interference to the knees and the same seat height as the Entorq 125.

The chassis is nearly identical to the 125, with minor reinforcements. It has the same 12-inch wheels and tires, which means the scooter feels familiar yet refined.

Engine and Performance

The engine finds its roots in the Entorq 125 but has been reworked. It is a three-valve air-cooled motor, bored and stroked to 150cc. Power output is 13.2 hp and torque is 14.2 Nm, including TVS’s hybrid iGo boost system.

This feature scavenges a little battery power for short bursts, noticeable in city rides though not as much on the track. Compared to rivals, it makes slightly more power than the Aprilia SR 175 and more torque than the Yamaha Aerox 155, which is impressive.

Price and Verdict

The TVS NTorq 150 comes at an ex-showroom price of ₹1,19,000 – ₹1,29,000.

At this price point, it is arguably the best sports scooter in India.

  • City Riding: Comfortable and practical.
  • Highway Riding: Can easily cruise at 100 km/h.
  • Braking: Strong front ABS, good stability.
  • Comfort: Smooth suspension, upright seating, premium feel.

Riding Experience

In standard mode, the scooter feels quick and smooth, with comfortable cruising speeds of 80–100 km/h. Refinement has improved significantly with minimal vibrations. Race mode sharpens performance further.

The burbly exhaust note from the Entorq 125 is retained, adding to the riding thrill.

Handling and Suspension

The suspension has been retuned with stiffer springs and adjusted damping. While still soft, it feels more stable and confident at speed. The 12-inch wheels help retain agility, and TVS intentionally avoided 14-inch wheels to preserve this characteristic.

The scooter leans easily, corners with confidence, and remains agile while stable.

Tires and Brakes

TVS provides Remora tires with small improvements. Once warmed up, they provide excellent grip. Braking is handled by a disc-drum setup with single-channel ABS. The ABS calibration is very good, though the rear brake tends to lock a little easily.

Features and Usability

The Entorq 150 retains familiar usability from the 125. It gets a front cubby with a drain hole, a multi-function key, remote-opening fuel filler cap, and a boot of similar size to the 125.

Fuel efficiency is expected to be about 4 km/l less than the Entorq 125, which seems fair considering the added performance and refinement.

The cockpit area feels premium with adjustable levers, a parking brake clasp, and quality switchgear. A trigger-style pass switch is also included.

There are two variants:

  • Top Model: Full-color TFT display with advanced Bluetooth connectivity and gaming-console-inspired design.
  • Base Model: Split-screen setup (LCD + small TFT), hazard lights, and pass switch.
